We've also been learning a lot about Black History Month! Ask your child about Rosa Parkes and Viola Desmond. They were important "activists", standing up for their rights and showing that the colour of our skin does not matter. We are all important and special in many, many ways.

Fun with Math!
Thank you Mrs. Hammond for sharing some pretty cool math games with us to help make math fun! We've been practising our fractions by "dropping it"! We're learning that the number on TOP (numerator) is the number of pieces we're talking about. The number on the BOTTOM (denominator) is the number of pieces ALTOGETHER. Sometimes we think the number on the bottom is the number of pieces left over after we've counted for the top number. We have to be very careful! But we're getting it!
