I'm sending home a rubric today that explains what we're looking for to achieve certain levels while writing Halloween narratives. We've been using our 5 senses to "set the scene" for a very spooky, entertaining story! What might we "see" when walking through the woods on a dark, scary night? What might we "hear" while the wind blows, carrying the sounds of creatures and critters? Check out your child's agenda this evening to see what we're working on and how we're applying it to our writing.
Please note: The Halloween Blow-Up Party in the gym is this Friday. Please send a flashlight with your child if you can. The Class Party is Monday. Please send your child with a small container of cut fruit or veggies. We will share them and use them to make fun skeletons, zombies or monsters to eat! Our Spirit Assembly is Monday too at 11:20.
